WHY MOBILE TICKETS

Q: WHY IS ROGERS PLACE IMPLEMENTING MOBILE TICKETING?

A: Rogers Place, the Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Oil Kings are committed to providing guests a safe, secure and convenient ticketing experience. A mobile ticket is the safest, most convenient and flexible way to receive and manage tickets while increasing protection against fraud and lost or stolen tickets. Just like online banking, mobile payments, airline electronic boarding passes and movie tickets – mobile tickets provide:

  • Significantly reduced risk of lost, stolen, counterfeit or forgotten tickets by providing secure purchase protection for all fans
  • Convenient and easy entry to Rogers Place using your smartphone
  • Instant access from anywhere to all of your tickets via the Rogers Place App and Account Manager
  • The ability to manage, share or sell your tickets from anywhere via the Rogers Place App and Account Manager
  • The ability for Rogers Place to instantly communicate any event changes (time changes, entry/traffic notices, etc.) directly to the ticket user, thus providing a better guest experience

Q: ARE ANY OTHER TEAMS/VENUES DOING THIS?

A: The vast majority of NHL teams adopted mobile ticketing policies as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The National Football League (NFL) also mandated the use of mobile ticketing for the 2021 season.

Q: IS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURE?

A: Rogers Place is a Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant venue, providing you the highest available security to ensure that your credit card and account information is well protected. TICKET PRINTING

Q: CAN I PRINT MY TICKET FROM HOME VIA PDF?

A: PDF tickets are not available to be printed via your Account Manager. PDF tickets were easily susceptible to accidental ticket transfer errors, duplicate tickets, and fraudulent tickets. Mobile ticketing significantly mitigates the risk of most ticket troubleshooting errors.

ACCESSING MY TICKETS

Q: HOW DO I ACCESS MY TICKETS ON MY SMARTPHONE?

A: Download the Rogers Place Official App from the iTunes App Store or the Google Play Store. Go to “Tickets” and select the Account Manager tile applicable to your event/game. Browse for the specific event you’re looking for and tap to see your tickets. When you arrive at Rogers Place, present your smartphone to the Guest Experience Representative to have your ticket scanned. If you have guests and multiple tickets on your phone, simply swipe to navigate between them.

If you do not want to download an app, you may also use the browser on your phone to visit your Account Manager.

Q: CAN I ACCESS TICKETS AND ENTER ROGERS PLACE IF I DON’T OWN A SMARTPHONE?

A: Yes, for those who do not own a smartphone, you are still able to send and receive ticket transfers on any computer or tablet. For access into Rogers Place, you may enter Rogers Place with the person/people you are attending with presuming they do have a smartphone.

If you have a guest that does not have a smart phone, we have multiple solutions to ensure they can still get their tickets and into the event. If sending is not an option (your recipient does not have an email address or mobile phone), you may have your tickets left for your recipient at the Will-Call window at Rogers Place, at the Ford Hall Box Office. Individuals picking up tickets from Will-Call will be required to present valid government issued photo ID. Tickets are only available for pick-up three hours prior to the start of the event that is being attended.

  • Log into your Edmonton Oilers Account Manager using your email address and password.
  • Select the game you wish to manage.
  • Click Transfer.
  • Click to choose specific seat locations, then click Transfer to confirm.
  • Enter the name of the recipient and use the email address willcall@edmontonoilers.com and click Transfer.
    • Example: Transfer the tickets to the name John Doe, but use willcall@edmontonoilers.com as the email address

Q: HOW CAN I SCAN MY TICKETS IF I DON’T HAVE A DATA PLAN?

A: The Rogers Place App includes offline mode so once the tickets have been added to your account, you will be able to access them regardless of internet connectivity. To ensure seamless entry, we highly recommend downloading your tickets to your phone before arriving at the game/event. If you have an iPhone, you can store your tickets in your Apple Wallet. If you’re an Android user, you can save your tickets to your phone through Google Pay (formerly known as Android Pay).

In addition, we offer complimentary Wi-Fi at Rogers Place. Wi-Fi is accessible throughout our venue including Ford Hall and the LRT Entrance. Simply connect to the Rogers Place Public network upon arrival.

Q: WHAT IF I LOSE CONNECTIVITY/CAN’T CONNECT TO MY ACCOUNT AT ROGERS PLACE?

Q: WHAT IF MY PHONE RUNS OUT OF BATTERY UPON ARRIVAL OR DURING AN EVENT?

A: We are pleased to offer complimentary phone and tablet charging at any of the Rogers Charging Stations within Rogers Place. Charging Stations are located in many convenient areas of Rogers Place, including one in Ford Hall. In addition, Rogers Place Box Office Representatives are readily available to assist you on-site with any last minute ticket support needs.

Q: WHAT IF MY PHONE BREAKS, DIES OR IS LOST/STOLEN?

A: The Rogers Place Ticket Services and Box Office teams are available to assist with any ticketing support or questions you may have.

If this occurs prior to arriving at Rogers Place, simply contact us via phone at 780-414-LIVE (5483) or info@rogersplace.com. Please have your personal and account information readily accessible.

If this occurs upon your arrival to Rogers Place, please visit the Rogers Place Box Office located in Ford Hall with government issued photo ID and ticket confirmation number (if applicable).

Q: CAN I USE A SCREENSHOT OF MY TICKET TO ACCESS EVENTS AT ROGERS PLACE?

A: No, screenshots are not valid tickets for entry and you may be denied entry and redirected to the Box Office for assistance.

A mobile ticket must be displayed either within the app, the mobile website or within your phone’s Apple/Android wallet to be provided entry.

Q: WHEN SHOULD I DOWNLOAD MY TICKET?

A: Your tickets are accessible to manage, view and transfer any time leading up to your event.

Q: CAN I HAVE MULTIPLE TICKETS ON A SINGLE PHONE?

A: Yes, you can have multiple tickets on one phone. You will simply be required to enter Rogers Place as a group. For the best experience, the recommendation is to always transfer the individual tickets to each attendee.

WHAT IF MY ENTIRE PARTY ISN’T WITH ME WHEN I’M READY TO ENTER?

A: The recommendation is that you transfer each individual attendee their ticket via the Rogers Place App and Account Manager. For the best experience, the recommendation is to always transfer the individual tickets to each attendee.

TRANSFERRING & RESELLING TICKETS

Q: HOW DO I TRANSFER TICKETS TO FRIENDS, FAMILY, OR BUSINESS ASSOCIATES?

A: Transferring tickets securely and conveniently is simple. Log into Account Manager and complete the following:

  • Navigate to your event/game and tap on it to see the tickets
  • Click SEND and select the tickets you wish to transfer
  • Select a contact from your address book or enter the recipient’s information
  • Click SEND TICKETS to send the tickets.

Q: CAN I TRANSFER MORE THAN ONE GAME/EVENT TOGETHER?

A: Yes, bulk transfers are available via Account Manager. Simply log into Account Manager and complete the following:

  • Navigate to your My Events tab in Account Manager on your desktop, and click the Transfer button at the top of the screen
  • Select the games you wish to transfer, and click Next in the top right corner
  • Selects the seats you wish to transfer and click Next
  • When ready, select a contact from your address book or Enter the recipient’s information
  • Click Transfer to send the tickets.

We recommend you transfer tickets in groups of 10 at a time to mitigate the risk of ticket transfer issues.

Q: DOES THE PERSON I SEND THE TICKETS TO NEED AN ACCOUNT?

A: Yes, to provide secure access to tickets all ticket holders require an account, however, you can transfer a ticket to them before they create an account – all you require is their valid email address to begin the transfer process. Upon receipt of the ticket transfer via email, the recipient will be prompted to create an account during the acceptance process, which will take no more than a few minutes and can be done from either their computer, phone, or tablet.

Q: WHAT IF I TRANSFER TICKETS TO THE WRONG PERSON, CAN I RECALL THE TICKETS?

A: Yes, tickets can be reclaimed provided they haven’t already been accepted by the recipient. Simply click on the transferred game that has not yet been accepted, and then click cancel. We always recommend you double check the email address you’re transferring to before confirming your transfer.

Q: CAN TICKET HOLDERS TRANSFER TICKETS AFTER THE EVENT HAS STARTED?

A: Yes, ticket transferring is available for all tickets in your account that have not already been scanned into the venue. However, you cannot post tickets for resale after the event has begun.

Q: HOW DO I SELL A TICKET?

A: Selling a ticket is similar to sending a ticket, with a few additional steps:

  • Navigate to your event/game and tap on it to see the tickets
  • Click Sell at the bottom of the screen and select the tickets you wish to post for sale
  • Enter your asking price and select your payout method
  • Hit Sell Tickets and you’re done
  • Please note: selling tickets is only available for Oilers games.

GIFTING AND DONATIONS

Q: HOW CAN I DONATE TICKETS FOR A SILENT AUCTION WITHOUT PRINTED TICKETS?

A: Many of our clients donate tickets to silent auctions in support of various causes and charities. Mobile ticketing makes it even easier and more secure to do this than with physical tickets.

It is recommended that you transfer your tickets via Account Manager to the auction/event organizer in advance of the event. They will be able to access the tickets and immediately transfer them to the silent auction winner following the event.

For silent auction display purposes, we can provide a ticket donation template for the auction/event organizer to fill out and print off. For access to templates, please contact our Ticket Services Team directly at 780-414-LIVE (5843) or info@rogersplace.com.

Q: THIS IS MY FIRST OILERS GAME AT ROGERS PLACE AND I WANT A HARD COPY TICKET AS A SOUVENIR.

A: Congratulations and thank you for choosing to attend your first Oilers game at Rogers Place. Physical souvenir tickets are not available for printing, however, we would like to help you remember your first Oilers game so feel free to pick up a complimentary souvenir program upon arrival and/or visit one of our Guest Services Centres to speak with our Guest Experience Team.
